Our Savior's Lutheran Church

"Christ is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.  And he is the head of the body, the Church."  Colossians 1:17-18

Rev. Michael Traudt

This passage reminds us of the central position of Christ in the Christian faith.  We recognize that Christ is the eternal Son of God the Father who came down to earth, was born of the virgin Mary and made payment for the sins of the world as the Redeemer of all.  To Christ be all glory!

Not only did God give life to all members of Our Savior's, He gave them eternal life.  Christ is the ONE who redeemed the members of His Church and made them his own.  Our common faith and confession based in Christ unites the members of our congregation into one body in Christ.  As we view what our Lord has done for us and what He has enabled us to do for Him, to Christ be all glory.

"God's Word Is Our Great Heritage"
The Lutheran Hymnal - Hymn #283
Text: Ps. 16:6

God's Word is our great heritage
And shall be ours forever;
To spread its light from age to age
Shall be our chief endeavor.
Through life it guides our way,
In death it is our stay.
Lord, grant, while worlds endure,
We keep its teachings pure.
Throughout all generations.  Amen.
