Helen Keller Experience

During the fall of 2006 the 6^th – 8^th graders read The Story of My Life by Helen Keller. Helen has become a famous deaf and blind author. To give the students the full experience of being Helen Keller, they were blindfolded and given earplugs. They were then given instructions by the same method Helen learned to communicate, by “writing” on the palm of the hand.
